Kitty in The Well

Born out of a mutual distaste for both modern bohemia and musicianship, the three-piece, Kitty in the Well has been putting the ‘humour’ back in ‘humourless’ for three years now. This highly dysfunctional outfit nevertheless has a knack for bringing its crowds together in something like elation and something like biliousness. The group is known for big, haphazard arrangements, huge voices, and their no-holds-barred approach to genre and instrumentation.

A dangerous uncompromising energy propels this group of Sydney minstrels.
Romance, anguish, exuberance and an overdose of caffeine fuels this group of fantastic Sydney folk rockers.
With original compositions and a tendency towards the subversive, the songs of Serge Stanley and his band On The Stoop bind together infectious Eastern-European rhythms, some exotic Tango, some Balkan madness, all with an irrepressible punk zeal.
